A very popular salad in Poland, although it is hard to say when exactly it became fashionable  but my husband said that he ate this salad for the first time some 15 years ago and since then it has been served very often as a dish for various occasions. This salad is most often served in a glass or a transparent dish to show the layers of individual ingredients. The preparation is very simple and the salad is delicious and it looks really nice 🙂

Ingredients:

2 chicken breasts, cut into small cubes
2 tablespoons of gyros spice
1 medium red onion, cut into strips
1 small cucumber, diced
1 can of drained corn
1 red pepper, diced
3 pickled cucumbers, diced
1 tomato, diced (i used raspberry tomato)
5 tablespoons of mayonnaise
5 tablespoons of ketchup
1 small chinese cabbage, shredded
oil for frying

Procedure:

Mix chicken with gyros spice and set aside for half an hour. Mix ketchup and mayonnaise in a small bowl, set aside. Fry the chicken in batches and let it cool down. Transfer the chicken to a salad bowl. Spread half of the ketchup and mayonnaise sauce over the chicken. Make layers of all the vegetables and add the rest of the sauce at the end. Place the shredded cabbage on top.

Enjoy!
