Since I live in Poland, bread and other pastries have become a frequent element of my dishes. But honestly, it was the first time I tried to make bread with herbs. The effect exceeded my expectations. The bread is delicious, aromatic and actually gives you many options for adding your favorite herbs. Feel free to experiment with the addition of herbs and the proportion 🙂

Ingredients:

400 g of flour
20 g of fresh yeast
200 ml of warm milk
50 g of melted butter
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of sugar
egg yolk, beaten for brushing
1 tablespoon of chopped chives
1 tablespoon of chopped parsley
1 tablespoon chopped basil
1-2 tablespoons of oil
flour for sprinkling

Procedure:

Mix the milk thoroughly with sugar and yeast. Set aside in a warm place, covered for 15 minutes. Add salt, melted butter and fresh yeast leaven to the flour. Knead the dough for 5-6 minutes, put it in a bowl, cover with a cloth and set aside in a warm place for an hour. Brush the baking tin with oil and sprinkle with flour. Add the herbs to the dough and knead so that the herbs will get inside the dough. Put the dough into the previously prepared form, spread it evenly so that the bread is even, cover with a cloth and set aside in a warm place for about 30 minutes. After the dough rises, gently brush the bread with beaten egg yolk and put in the oven preheated to 200 ° C for 45 minutes.

Enjoy!
