Tzatziki Sauce
One of the simplest sauces, but very tasty. The tzatziki sauce is a Greek origin and perfectly emphasizes the taste of grilled dishes. Yogurt, cucumber and garlic are the most important ingredients of this sauce, you can add chives, wine vinegar or olives, but in this case, less ingredients mean a better effect 🙂
Ingredients:
200 ml of Greek yogurt
2 cucumbers or 1 long cucumber
3 garlic cloves, very finely chopped
a teaspoon of olive oil
salt
pepper
Preparation:
Wash the cucumbers thoroughly (you can peel them, but I prefer to add the skin) cut them in half and use a teaspoon to remove the pitted center. Coarse it with a grater, salt it and leave for 10-15 minutes to let the water go out. After this time, transfer the cucumbers to a strainer and squeeze out excess water. Transfer to a dish, add yogurt, garlic, olive oil and pepper. Mix thoroughly with a teaspoon and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover with cling wrap and refrigerate for a few hours for the ingredients to make it much more flavorful 🙂
Enjoy!
