Crepe Cake With Meat Stuffing
Crepe cake is the perfect way to have a festive lunch or dinner for the whole family. It tastes great, looks very good on the table, and it’s not difficult to prepare such a cake. The family will be delighted and full 🙂
Ingredients:
Pancake:
1 ¾ cups of flour
½ teaspoon of sugar
pinch of salt
2 large eggs
2 cups of milk
oil, for frying
Meat stuffing:
1 kilo ground pork
1 big onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
100 g mushrooms, sliced
2 cans of tomato, chopped
2 ½ teaspoon of basil
2 ½ teaspoon of oregano
salt and pepper
2 medium sized carrots, grated
oil, for frying
250 g cheese, grated cheese
Procedure:
Prepare the pancake by putting all pancake ingredients in a big mixing bowl. Mix until well combined and turns into a smooth batter. Heat pan in a medium heat, spray a little amount of oil (you can also use a silicone brush). Pour in ¼ cup of batter into the pan. Turn pan from side to side to create an even circle. Cook for about 1-2 minutes each sides. Transfer to a dish. Repeat process to make a 10 pancakes. Set aside. Preheat oven to 180ºC. While waiting for the oven to be ready, prepare the meat stuffing. Heat oil in a big skillet over a medium heat. Saute onion and garlic until onion turns into a glassy color. Add mushrooms and fry until color turns into brown and water was removed. Add meat and fry stir occasionally for about 5-8 minutes. Add the carrots, basil and oregano. Mix. Pour in the tomato sauce and mix well to combine. Lower the heat and cook stirring from time to time until sauce has thicken. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Place 1 pancake into the bottom of a round baking pan. Put 2-3 tablespoons of meat stuffing and spread. Sprinkle with cheese. Repeat process until you make 10 levels of pancakes. Sprinkle cheese on top (you can add how many you want). Bake for 25 minutes. Serve.
