Most people associate knuckle with fatty pork meat, which is why they are not always eager to eat it, despite its great taste. For pork knuckle, a delicious, meaty, juicy turkey knuckle is a great alternative. The preparation is simple and the honey-beer marinade makes the meat juicy and extremely aromatic 🙂


2 turkey shank
1 cup of your favorite beer, i used wheat beer
1 tablespoon of honey
1 tablespoon of sweet pepper
1 teaspoon of marjoram
1 tablespoon of turmeric
1 teaspoon of freshly ground pepper
pinch of salt


Mix the beer, honey and spices together for a marinade. Put the turkey in the marinade and marinate overnight. After this time, remove the turkey from the marinade and put it in a heat-resistant dish (add a glass of marinade to the bottom of the dish). Bake, covered, at 180°C for an hour, then remove the cover and bake for another 30-40 minutes, until the meat is golden brown. Serve with baked potatoes (you can bake potatoes together with pork knuckles) and your favorite salad.
