Traditional Pork Stew
Pork goulash is one of the most popular and traditional dish in Poland. The large content of soft and tender meat is a delicious, aromatic sauce which is a great combination for a perfect dinner for the whole family 🙂
Ingredients:
800 g diced pork ham (you can also use a pork shoulder)
1 large onion, diced
2 medium carrots, diced
1 cup of hot pork broth
4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
3 bay leaves
4 grains of allspice
1 tablespoon of flour
1 teaspoon of marjoram
salt and pepper
spoon of green parsley
frying oil
Preparation:
Pour the oil into a pot with a thick bottom and warm it up. Add the onion and fry until turns into a glass color. Add the meat and cook for a few minutes until it is tender. Add the carrots and sauté for a minute. Pour it all over with hot broth. Add garlic, bay leaves, and allspice. Cover and simmer for an hour or until the meat is tender. In a glass, mix cold water and flour thoroughly. Add 3-4 tablespoons of the pot stock and mix again. Pour the mixture from the stew glass into the stew to thicken the sauce and mix thoroughly. Season with salt, pepper and marjoram and cook together for a few minutes. Garnish with parsley. Serve with potatoes or groats 🙂
