Delicious Filipino dish contains minced pork, stewed in tomato sauce with vegetables. The mixture of these simple yet delicious ingredients makes the dish unique, perfect for special occasions. Simple preparation, filling, aromatic and most importantly, rich in flavor perfectly fit with rice 🙂

Ingredients:

500 g ground meat
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 onion, diced
1 small carrot, diced
1 small potatoes, diced
1 small red bell pepper, diced
1 small green bell pepper, diced
1 cup chicken stock
300 g of tomato sauce
2 tablespoons of tomato paste
3 tablespoons of soya sauce
1 teaspoon of sugar
2 bay leaves
1 can green peas
plain green olives
½ cup raisins
salt and pepper to taste
oil for frying

Procedure:

Heat oil in a large pan over a medium heat. Saute the garlic and onion until the onion turns into a glassy color. Add in the ground meat and cook for about 5 minutes or until light brown. Stir in the carrots, potatoes and bell peppers. Pour in the stock, tomato sauce, tomato paste, soya sauce, sugar, and bay leaf. Lower the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes or when the vegetables are tender. Add in the green peas, olives and raisins and cook for another 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with rice.
