Traditional dessert from my husband’s childhood. Cheap and available ingredients in Poland meant that it was a Polish dessert prepared also by grandmothers several dozen years ago. I hope that such wafers will be available in the Philippines soon, because they can be used for a simple and tasty dessert 🙂

Ingredients:

3 cake wafers, halved (6 halves)
120 g margarine
3 flat spoons of cocoa
5 tablespoons of water
50 g of sugar
3 tablespoons of powdered milk

Preparation:

Put the margarine, cocoa, water and sugar in the pot. Heat it up occasionally, stirring, then bring it to the boil. Cool until the mass is slightly hot. After this time, gradually add the powdered milk, stirring vigorously all the time so that no lumps are formed. Pour 2-3 tablespoons of cocoa mass on the cake waffle and spread it evenly. Cover with another waffle and put a tablespoons of cocoa again. Do not put at the top of the last wafer with the mass. Press down the waffles with a board and put something heavy to press down (e.g. a liter carton of juice). Put in the fridge for 2-3 hours to harden the chocolate mass. Cut into any shape 🙂

Enjoy!
