When I was in Mom’s tummy, she told me that she always wanted to eat spaghetti (and crab). I have remained eager for this dish until now. I cooked spaghetti in 2 version in my kitchen. For fast (easy version) and one is for a special occasions. This time I will share with you the recipe which I always wanted to prepare when we have celebration. This recipe is perfect for your partner’s birthday or anniversaries. It needs a lot of patience which leads to a one special ingredient (cook with love), and the taste of the dish will definitely rewarding for you of waiting 🙂

Ingredients:

500g minced pork (can be beef)
100g bacon
1 onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 medium carrot, grated
2 small celery sticks, cubed
1 cup red wine
1 cup of hot vegetable stock
5 tbsp of tomato puree or tomato sauce
1 can of sliced ​​tomatoes (without skin
salt and pepper
pinch of sugar
a tsp oregano
2 fresh basil leaves
a half cup of milk
250g spaghetti pasta
grated parmesan cheese

Procedure:

Cook the pasta according to instruction. Cut bacon into a small cubes and fry on low heat in a large pan (without oil). Move the bacon into the side of the pan and fry the onion in bacon fat. When the onion turns to a glassy color, add garlic, celery and carrots. Fry together until the vegetables lightly caramelize (about 5 minutes) and transfer everything into a big pot. Now fry the minced meat into the same frying pan (do not add oil, the remaining bacon fat will fry the meat and to absorb the flavors from the previous frying). Add fried meat into the pot with bacon and vegetables, pour the wine and cook on low heat for about 5 minutes. Add the canned tomatoes, broth and tomato puree. Mix and destroy larger pieces of tomatoes with a wooden spoon. Add pepper, salt, a pinch of sugar, basil and oregano. Cook on low heat for one hour, stirring occasionally. After an hour, add milk and cook again for an hour until the sauce is reduced. Serve with spaghetti pasta and sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese (you can also add basil if you want).
