I love shrimps, they can be prepared in many ways. This time I will show you how to prepare shrimp as a snack or appetizer. The crispy coating perfectly turns up the taste mixed with all the spices that will make you crave and ask for another portion 🙂

Ingredients:

15 pcs of large shrimps, peeled, deveined and keep the tail on
5 tbsp of lemon juice
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp black ground pepper
½ tsp salt
1 cup of panko bread crumbs or powdered bread
oil for frying

For the Tempura Batter:

¾ cups of flour
2 tbsp potato flour or cornstarch
1 egg
½ tsp black ground pepper
½ tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
½ cup of iced water

Procedure:

Place the shrimps into a big bowl. Pour in lemon juice, garlic powder, pepper and salt. Cover and marinate for a night. In a small bowl, combine all the batter ingredients (slowly add the ice water to have a slightly lumpy batter). Prepare and heat the oil into a deep pan over medium heat. Dip the shrimps into the batter one by one by holding its tail. Coat it with bread crumbs and fry until crispy and golden brown. Serve with tempura sauce or any of your favorite dipping sauce 🙂

Enjoy!
