Omelette is a great option for both breakfast and dinner. You may think that this is a lazy dish because you just put all the ingredients and wait for them to be ready but it doesn’t mean that the taste is poor. Basil and tomatoes are a duo often found in Italian cuisine, and eggs additionally combine these flavors  🙂


6 eggs
3 slices ham, cubed
1 garlic clove, minced
1 onion, cubed
½ cup tomato cocktail, halves
½ cup fresh basil
salt and pepper
oil for frying


Beat the eggs into a bowl. In a non-stick pan over a medium heat, add the oil. Add garlic and onion and fry until onion turns into a glassy color. Add ham and fry for 3 minutes. Add tomatoes and fry for another 3 minutes. Pour the beaten eggs into the pan. Add basil leaves and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover for 3 minutes. Fold and transfer into a dish. Serve 🙂
