Delicious, sweet, chocolate bars with a great banana flavor. Chewy bars are great for coffee snacks, as well as a dose of energy during longer walks. Perfect for both adults and children 🙂

Ingredients:

1 cup mashed ripe banana (2 large banana)
½ cup sugar
3 tablespoon butter, at room temperature
2 tablespoons milk
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¾ cups flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
⅛ teaspoon nutmeg
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon salt
100 g dark chocolate, chopped

Procedure:

Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed banana, sugar, butter, milk, egg and vanilla until well blended. Sift in flour, baking soda, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt. Slowly fold them together until well combined. Fold in 60 g of chopped chocolate. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and sprinkle with remaining chopped chocolate. Bake for 15-20 minutes or a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Slice into squares and serve 🙂
