Chicken in soy sauce is very popular in the Philippines, but is most often prepared in a pan. This time I present to you an extremely simple and incredibly tasty recipe for chicken wings with a typically sweet and sour Asian flavor 🙂

Ingredients:

1 kg of chicken wings washed, cleaned and dried (you can also cut shuttlecocks, but I left it)
50 ml of soy sauce
3 tablespoons of lemon juice
3 tablespoons of liquid honey
1 teaspoon of freshly grated ginger
1 tablespoon of oil

Procedure:

Combine the soy sauce, oil, lemon juice, honey and grated ginger together in a bowl to marinate the meat. Add the wings and mix thoroughly. Leave the wings in the marinade at room temperature for at least an hour, stirring occasionally so that they are all evenly covered with the liquid marinade. After this time, heat the oven to 180°C and put the wings on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for 45 minutes (do not pour the marinade!). After 20 minutes, you can water the wings once. During this time, pour the marinade through a fine strainer into a saucepan and cook until it becomes thick and reduces to ¼ of its content (most of it evaporates). When the wings are golden and ready with a brush, brush each wing with the marinade. Eat right away because the best dish is warm 🙂

Enjoy!
