Yeast Dough With Crumble
In Poland, an extremely popular cake for my husband is the taste of childhood. A great, fluffy, sweet yeast dough with a brilliant crumble that tempts you to eat it from the dough, i.e. a recipe for a simple and extremely tasty classic cake perfect for coffee, milk or cocoa 🙂
Ingredients:
Dough:
350 g of wheat flour, sifted
2 eggs
25 g of melted butter
130 ml of warm milk
8 g of dry yeast
5 tablespoons of sugar
Crumble:
50 g of cold butter
50 g of sugar
100 g of wheat flour sifted
1 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)
Procedure:
Dough:
Mix all the ingredients for the dough together and knead the dough to a homogeneous mass for about 8 minutes (you can use a planetary robot for this). After kneading the dough, leave it in a bowl and cover it with a cloth. Leave in a warm place for an hour. After this time, lightly knead the dough by hand and transfer it to a rectangular mold (larger) and set aside again for 20 minutes, covered.
Crumble:
Mix all ingredients together and make a crumble. If you do it by hand, after kneading, put the crumble in the fridge for 10 minutes
Assemble:
When the dough has risen in the form, pour the crumble on it. Put in the oven preheated to 180°C (top – bottom) for 25-30 minutes, until the dough is brown and the stick is dry. Take it out of the oven and serve hot or cold with butter, jam or other favorite toppings 🙂
Enjoy!
