Classic gołąbki are laborious and sometimes you don’t have enough time to prepare for such a dish. So it’s worth getting acquainted with the lazy cabbage rolls, which can also be called minced cabbage cutlet. Preparation is quick and easy, and the meat and cabbage in a tomato sauce goes well together. The perfect recipe for a quick dinner for the whole family 🙂

Ingredients:

500 g ground pork
300 g napa cabbage
1 large egg
1 onion, diced
¾ cup kasza manna
2 cups of boiled rice
1 tablespoons of marjoram
salt and pepper to taste
oil for frying
3-4 tablespoons of tomato paste
4 cups of vegetable or chicken broth
1 tablespoon of flour
a tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Procedure:

Wash and slice the napa cabbage into thin slices. Place into a colander and sprinkle it with salt and mix using by hand. Allow to sit for 10-20 minutes. Rinse the cabbage and drain. After this time, combine meat, cabbage, egg, onion, kasza manna, rice and marjoram into a large bowl. Mix thoroughly using hand. Season with salt and pepper and form it into 8 round balls. Heat oil into a pan over a medium heat. Fry the round meat mixture into each side until it turns brown to make a shield. Add the tomato paste into the broth. Stir until tomato paste has dissolved. Pour in the broth into the pan,leaving a half cup of broth mixture and transfer into a glass. Cook covered for 20-25 minutes or until liquid has reduced. Dissolve flour into the left broth. Pour into the pan and stir until the sauce has thickened. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with potatoes and your favorite salad.
