Homemade Kiwi Icecream
Homemade ice cream recipe is a delicious and simple recipe for the whole family. On hot summer days, we often look for something to cool down, so the perfect way will be to prepare sweet ice cream with a slight hint of kiwi fruit acidity 🙂
Ingredients:
2 kiwifruit, peeled and chopped
2 egg yolks
½ cup sugar
1 cup cream 30 %
1 cup full milk
Procedure:
Blend the kiwifruit until smooth. In a big mixing bowl, whisk egg yolk and sugar to combine. Set aside. Heat the cream and milk in a saucepan over a medium heat until simmer. Slowly pour a cup of milk mixture into the egg yolks and mix. Pour back the milk mixture into the saucepan and heat for another 5 minutes or until it thickens. Strain the ice cream base into an airtight container. Pour in the blended kiwifruit and mix. Allow it to cool. Place the ice cream into the freezer for at least 2 hours or preferably overnight. Serve with sliced kiwi and wafer rolls.
Enjoy!
