Homemade Chocolate Sauce
Chocolate sauce is a great addition to a variety of desserts. It goes perfectly with fruit, pancakes, ice cream, cakes, churros, and you can even emphasize the taste of coffee with it. The preparation is extremely simple and quick, and the perfect taste can be freely adapted to your taste buds. Try to make such a sauce yourself and you will never buy a ready-made sauce in the store 🙂
Ingredients:
½ cup cocoa powder
1 cup granulated sugar
pinch of salt
½ cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Procedure:
In a saucepan, mix together the cocoa powder, sugar and salt. Add the water and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat into low and simmer, stirring constantly. Simmer for 1-2 minutes until it thickens. Remove from the fire and let it cool. When it is cool enough, add the vanilla extract and stir. Transfer into a jar or a container and refrigerate. Ready to top in your fave ice cream, pancakes or shakes 🙂 (You can store the sauce in the fridge and last for about 1-2 weeks).
Enjoy!
