Chichen On Bottle of Beer
Roast chicken with beer is a really tasty combination that is popular both in the Philippines and in Poland. So why not combine these two flavors into one dish? A striking, juicy, aromatic dish will surely make saliva drip, and after a short time all chicken bones will remain 🙂
Ingredients:
1 ½ kg of whole chicken
1 favorite beer in a bottle
3 garlic cloves
2 tsp sweet chili pepper
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oil
salt and pepper
½ tsp thyme
¼ lime juice
Procedure:
Pour soy sauce and oil in a small dish. Add one clove of garlic (minced), lime juice, salt, pepper, sweet chili pepper and thyme. Mix the marinade thoroughly. Wash the chicken, dry it using paper towel, cut off the neck and rump. Carefully rub the prepared marinade outside and inside the chicken. Crush the remaining two cloves of garlic and place inside the chicken. Set aside in the fridge for a few hours or preferably overnight. Remove the stickers from the beer bottle. Put bottle in a bowl of warm water and with a drop of dishwashing liquid, then the stickers easily go off. Wash the bottle thoroughly to remove glue residue and any dirt. Open beer and put in the chicken. Transfer the chicken bottle to an ovenproof dish or baking tray. Put in the oven preheated to 180ºC (hot air) for half an hour. After this time, open the oven and check if the beer is buzzing. If not, add little salt into the beer, then the beer will behave like a volcano and watered the chicken. Bake the chicken for an hour and a half by watering it with beer or the resulting sauce every 20 minutes. Serve with baked potato and your favorite salad.
Enjoy!
